Kiwi Wali Diwali: Pataka Prizes

1. Overview

"Pataka Prizes" ("Contest") is a daily lucky-draw contest that is part of the Kiwi Wali Diwali festive season. On each of the twelve (12) Draw Days listed in Section 4, one gift ("Prize") is unlocked in the Kiwi app. Eligible Users who complete that day's task ("Task") within the Entry Window receive one entry into that day's draw ("Draw"). The winner(s) for that day are then selected by the automated process described in Section 8.

The Contest is offered and funded by GoKiwi Tech Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 ("Kiwi"). All Prizes are provided by Kiwi. Yes Bank Limited, AU Small Finance Bank Limited and Punjab National Bank, as issuers of the eligible credit cards, are not sponsors of the Contest.

The Contest runs separately from the Kiwi Wali Diwali spend-milestone cashback campaign. These Terms are complete on their own. No opt-in is required. A User does not need to have opted in to the Main Campaign or reached any spend milestone. They only need to complete the Task on a given Draw Day. Entering or winning Pataka Prizes does not affect any cashback reward or Golden Ticket under the Milestone Campaign, and the reverse is also true.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible ("Eligible User"), a person must, at the time of entry:

Excluded persons. The following persons are not eligible to take part in the Contest:

Users residing in the State of Tamil Nadu (based on the residence address provided at the time of onboarding) are not eligible to receive any Prize under the Contest (see Sections 10 and 14.8).

3. How to Participate

  1. On each Draw Day, the day's Prize and Task unlock in the Kiwi app at 12:00:00 AM IST.
  2. The Eligible User can tap "Participate Now" on that day's Prize page in the Kiwi app to be taken to the payment flow for the Task.
  3. The Eligible User must complete the Task in the Kiwi app between 12:00:00 AM IST and 9:45:00 PM IST on that Draw Day ("Entry Window").
  4. Completing the Task gives the Eligible User one (1) entry into that day's Draw. Each entry is given a unique entry number ("Entry Number").
  5. The winner(s) are announced in the Kiwi app at 10:00 PM IST on the same Draw Day.

One entry per user per day. Each Eligible User can receive a maximum of one (1) entry per Draw Day. The User's first transaction on a Draw Day that meets that day's Task criteria is counted as their entry. Any further qualifying transactions on the same day do not give the User additional entries or a better chance of winning.

No entries after 9:45 PM. The Entry Window closes at 9:45:00 PM IST. No entries are accepted after this time. The time of a transaction is the time recorded in Kiwi's systems. A transaction that was started before 9:45:00 PM IST but completed after it will not count. Transactions made after the Entry Window closes are not carried over to any other Draw Day.

The Contest has thirty (30) Prizes in total across the twelve (12) Draw Days. The Contest runs from 24 October 2026 to 6 November 2026 ("Contest Period"), on the Draw Days listed above only. There is no Draw on any day that is not listed.

Where no amount is stated for a Task, there is no minimum amount.

The exact model, brand, specification and denomination of each Prize will be shown in the Kiwi app on that Draw Day. Prize names, images and any values mentioned in the Kiwi app or in communications about the Contest are for illustration only and are estimated or indicative. They do not form part of the offer.

Kiwi may change a Draw Day, Task or Prize by notifying Users in the Kiwi app before that Draw Day's Entry Window opens.

5. Eligible Transactions

A transaction counts towards a Task ("Eligible Transaction") only if it is completed successfully within the Kiwi app. Transactions made through any other app or website, at POS terminals, or online by entering card details do not count.

Only successful transactions count. Failed, declined or pending transactions are not eligible. No merchant categories are excluded from the Contest.

Category-based Tasks. Whether a transaction falls under a category such as dining, groceries, food delivery, shopping, fuel or utility bills is determined by the merchant category code (MCC) that the merchant's bank assigns to the merchant. Kiwi does not control MCCs and is not responsible if a merchant is classified under a different category than the User expected. Kiwi's decision on whether a transaction meets a Task's criteria is final.

The eligible category mcc’s are -

EMI Task (30 October). The Task is completed when an Eligible Transaction is successfully converted to EMI on 30 October 2026 within the Entry Window. If that EMI is foreclosed (closed before its tenure ends) before the Prize is delivered, Kiwi may cancel the win and offer the Prize to the next alternate.

6. Refunds & Reversals

If a transaction used for an entry is refunded, reversed, charged back or cancelled, in full or in part, and this happens:

10:00 PMWinner(s) announced in the Kiwi app.

7.1 Selection window. The fifteen (15) minutes between 9:45:01 PM and 10:00:01 PM IST are reserved for finalising the list of valid entries and running the automated winner-selection process.

7.2 Delays. Winners will be announced at 10:00:01 PM IST. If the Draw or the announcement is delayed by a technical issue or any event beyond Kiwi's reasonable control, Kiwi will run the Draw and announce the winner(s) as soon as reasonably possible after 10:00:01 PM IST, later that night or on the next day. A delay does not change the Entry Window or the list of valid entries for that Draw Day.

7.3 Keeping participants informed. All Users who entered a Draw will be kept informed in the Kiwi app or via off app communication channels of the result of that Draw and of any delay or change affecting it.

8. Winner Selection Method

Winners are selected by an automated, cryptographic ranking process that is designed to be impartial and reproducible. No person selects or influences the choice of winners. For each Draw Day, the process works as follows:

  1. Finalising entries. After the Entry Window closes, Kiwi identifies and records all valid entries for that Draw Day and their Entry Numbers. Entries from Users who have already won a Prize in an earlier Draw are removed (see Section 9.2).
  2. Independent randomness. Kiwi uses a publicly verifiable random value generated by drand, a decentralised randomness network that Kiwi does not control. Each Draw uses the drand Quicknet round that has been designated in advance to correspond to that Draw Day's scheduled Draw time.
  3. Score for each entry. Each valid Entry Number is given a cryptographic score using the SHA-256 hashing algorithm. The score is calculated from three inputs: the published Contest identifier for that Draw Day, the drand random value, and the Entry Number.
  4. Ranking. All valid entries are ranked in ascending order of their complete cryptographic scores. If two entries have identical scores, they will be ordered by their Entry Numbers.
  5. Winners and alternates. The entries ranked first, up to the number of winners set out in Section 4 for that Draw Day, are the provisional winners. The entries ranked immediately after them are the alternates, in ranked order.

Because the inputs and the method are fixed in advance, the result of each Draw can be independently reproduced and checked. The Draw will also be conducted in the presence of an independent witness who is not part of the Contest team. Kiwi will keep records of each Draw, including the list of valid entries, the drand round used and the resulting ranking, for at least twelve (12) months.

Kiwi's decision on the winner-selection process and its outcome is final and binding on all participants.

9. Winner Rules

9.1 Number of winners. The number of winners for each Draw Day is set out in Section 4. If there are fewer valid entries than the number of Prizes on a Draw Day, Kiwi will award fewer Prizes. Unawarded Prizes will not be carried forward to another Draw Day.

9.2 One win per user. An Eligible User can win a maximum of one (1) Prize across the entire Contest. Users who have already won are not included in the Draws on later Draw Days.

9.3 Provisional winners and alternates. Each selected winner is provisional until verification under Section 11 is complete. If a provisional winner is ineligible, cannot be contacted, does not respond in time or fails verification, the Prize will be offered to the next alternate in the ranking under Section 8.

10. Winner Notification

Winners will be announced in the Kiwi app at 10:00 PM IST on the Draw Day. Each provisional winner will also be notified by email and/or WhatsApp on the email address or mobile number registered with Kiwi.

The winner must respond within seventy-two (72) hours of the first notification by following the instructions in the notification. If the winner does not respond in time, the Prize will be forfeited and offered to the next alternate.

Beware of fraud. Kiwi will never ask a winner for their card number, CVV, UPI PIN, OTP or any payment in order to claim a Prize. Any such request does not come from Kiwi and should be reported to Kiwi support.

11. Verification

Before a Prize is awarded, the winner must:

Kiwi may disqualify a winner if any of these is not met or if any information provided is found to be false.

12. Prize Delivery

12.1 Address. The winner must submit their delivery address in the Kiwi app. To change the address after it has been submitted, the winner must contact Kiwi support and send an email to service@gokiwi.in before the Prize is dispatched. Kiwi is not responsible for a Prize that is delayed or not delivered because the winner gave an incorrect or incomplete address.

12.2 Timelines. Physical Prizes will be delivered within thirty (30) days of successful verification to the winner's verified address in India. Large items, such as the Recliner Chair, may take longer. Kiwi is not responsible for delays caused by the courier, the brand or the seller, or by events beyond its reasonable control.

12.3 Delivery partner and charges. Prizes may be shipped by Kiwi or by a third-party delivery partner, brand or seller. No shipping or delivery charges will be charged to the winner. If the courier does not serve the winner's pin code, Kiwi will work with the winner to arrange an alternative address in India.

12.4 Damaged items. Risk in a physical Prize passes to the winner on delivery. Kiwi is not responsible for any damage to a Prize during transit or delivery. A winner may report damage to Kiwi support within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery, with an unboxing video and/or photos. Kiwi may look into the matter in good faith but makes no commitment to replace, repair or compensate for a damaged Prize.

12.5 Vouchers. Flight Vouchers and Stay Vouchers will be delivered electronically to the winner's registered email address and/or mobile number. The validity period, expiry date, denomination and usage terms of each voucher will be shared with the winner along with the voucher. In general, vouchers are valid for one (1) year from the date of issue. Vouchers are subject to the terms of the voucher issuer and its partners (including availability, blackout dates and booking conditions). Kiwi is not responsible for the voucher issuer's services. Expired or unused vouchers will not be extended, replaced or refunded.

13. Prize Terms

13.1 Appearance. The colour, design, size, packaging and variant of a Prize may differ from the images shown in the Kiwi app or in any communication. The colour or variant will be chosen by Kiwi, subject to availability. The winner cannot choose or change it.

13.2 Substitution. If a Prize is unavailable for reasons beyond Kiwi's reasonable control, Kiwi may replace it with a product or voucher of equal or greater value, at its discretion.

13.3 Gold and silver coins. The weight and purity of the coins are as specified by the issuing jeweller or seller. Their market value may change and is not guaranteed. Coins cannot be exchanged for cash or for other jewellery through Kiwi.

13.4 No returns or exchanges. Once a Prize has been delivered, it cannot be returned, exchanged or swapped for another Prize, product or cash.

13.5 Warranty. Each Prize carries only the manufacturer's or brand's standard warranty. Warranty and service claims must be made directly with the manufacturer or its authorised service centres. Kiwi makes no representation or warranty about any Prize and is not liable for any defect in it.

13.6 Trademarks. All brand names, product names and trademarks mentioned in connection with the Contest, including Apple, AirPods, MacBook, Amazon, Alexa, Marshall, Meta and Tanishq, belong to their respective owners. None of these brand owners sponsors, endorses or is associated with the Contest.

14. General Terms

  1. Amendment and revocation. Kiwi may change, suspend, extend or withdraw the Contest or these Terms, in whole or in part, by notifying Users in the Kiwi app. A change, suspension or withdrawal will not adversely affect any Prize won in a Draw held before it was notified. Kiwi may suspend or withdraw the Contest with immediate effect if required by law, a regulator or a card-issuing bank, or to prevent fraud or misuse.
  2. No cash alternative. Prizes are not transferable, and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or any other product or service, unless Kiwi states otherwise.
  3. Taxes. Any applicable taxes, duties or statutory levies on the Prize, except Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), must be borne by the winner, as required by applicable law.
  4. Fraud and misuse. Kiwi may, at its sole discretion, disqualify any User and cancel any entry or Prize if it determines that the User engaged in fraudulent activity or misuse, or tried to manipulate the Contest. This includes using multiple accounts, splitting or round-tripping transactions, or making transactions with related or self-owned merchants in order to enter.
  5. Underlying card terms apply. Participation is subject to the User continuing to comply with the standard terms and conditions of their Kiwi-linked Credit Card and their Kiwi account.
  6. Responsible use of credit. All spends are subject to the User's available credit limit. Prizes do not reduce, waive or offset any interest, fees or charges that apply to the User's credit card, and are not treated as a payment towards the credit card bill.
  7. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law:
    • (a) Kiwi is not liable for any failure or delay in Task completion, transaction processing, entry recording, the Draw, notification or Prize delivery that is caused by network or UPI outages, failures of the card-issuing bank, NPCI, drand, a courier, a brand, a voucher issuer or any other third party, or by events beyond Kiwi's reasonable control;
    • (b) warranty and defects relating to Prizes are governed by Section 13.5;
    • (c) Kiwi's total liability to any User in connection with the Contest is limited to the value of the Prize, if any, that the User is entitled to under these Terms; and
    • (d) Kiwi is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
  8. Governing law and jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction. Users residing in the State of Tamil Nadu are not eligible to receive any Prize under the Contest.
  9. Grievances and contact. For queries or grievances relating to the Contest, Users can contact Kiwi through official channels, such as in-app support or email at service@gokiwi.in.
  10. Entire agreement. These Terms are the entire understanding between Kiwi and the User about the Contest. They replace all earlier communications on the subject.
