Kiwi Postpaid is a credit line on UPI, issued by Yes Bank. It lets you pay using UPI on credit rather than from your bank balance.

It works through the Kiwi app in much the same way as a card, and it is billed and repaid on a monthly cycle.

Before Kiwi Postpaid is offered, your eligibility for a credit card is checked automatically across our partner banks. Kiwi Postpaid is offered when that check does not clear.

This check runs even when no separate application was started with an individual bank, so you may not see a bank application on your account even though your eligibility was assessed.

Card eligibility is assessed by our partner banks against their own criteria, and Kiwi Postpaid is what we are able to offer when that assessment does not clear.

We are continuing to add banking partners, and we will let you know as soon as a card option becomes available for your profile.

A Kiwi Postpaid credit line is only created after the consent step in the application is completed, so a line will exist only where that consent was given.

About Kiwi Postpaid

Pay in the Kiwi app as you would with any UPI payment, then choose your Kiwi Postpaid line as the payment source and enter your UPI PIN.

Your bill appears on the Kiwi app home screen once it is generated. Tap it to pay from any linked UPI account.

Paying the full amount by the due date avoids interest and late fees.

Kiwi Postpaid is issued by Yes Bank, so closure follows the same route as a credit card.

Please call Yes Bank on 1800 1200 from your registered mobile number, or write to them from the email address registered on your account, and ask them to close the credit line.

Once you have their confirmation, forward it to us and we will complete the remaining steps on your Kiwi account.

Please clear any outstanding balance before you ask for closure.

Why was I offered Kiwi Postpaid instead of a credit card?
