Before you go ahead, do tell us what prompted the decision. There is often something we can put right, and we would like the chance to try.

Your card is issued by our partner bank, so the closure request needs to go to them directly, from the email address registered on your card account.

Please clear any outstanding balance before you ask for closure.

Please write from the email address registered on your card account, and quote the last four digits of your card.

The closure request needs to come from you, from your registered email address, because your card account details are confidential between you and the bank.

We can help with everything else, including telling you exactly who to write to and what to include.

To complete the closure on your Kiwi account and remove your data, we do need the bank's closure confirmation.

Once you forward us that email, we will proceed.

Please redeem your rewards balance before you start the closure.

An active card is what keeps your Kiwi app account open, so removing only the card and keeping the account is not an outcome we are able to offer.

When you close your card with the bank, we close your Kiwi account at the same time.

Closing your card

Closing your card is a request you make to the bank that issued it. Deleting your Kiwi account removes your profile and your data from the Kiwi app.

If you hold an active card or an active Kiwi Postpaid line, that has to be closed with the bank first. Account deletion follows after that.

If you do not hold a card or a credit line, you can ask us to delete your account directly.

Write to us at service@gokiwi.in from your registered email address, or from the ###Need Help### section of the app, and tell us you would like your account deleted.

If you hold an active card or credit line, please close it with the bank first and send us their confirmation.

Before you go ahead, please read the two articles below on what happens afterwards.

You can sign up again after ###3 months###.

It will be a new account. Data from the deleted account is not restored, even after the 3 months have passed.

Please redeem any remaining Kiwis before you ask for deletion, as they cannot be recovered afterwards.

A deletion request is acknowledged within 24 hours, and the deletion itself is targeted within 7 working days.

This is separate from the 3 month wait before you can sign up again.

It depends how far the application has gone.

If your application is with the bank, please write back to us once it has been decided.

There is no way to remove your credit information while keeping the rest of your Kiwi account, because the account depends on that information. Withdrawing this consent means closing your Kiwi account.

Deleting your Kiwi account

An account can be suspended when activity on it does not comply with Kiwi's security policy. This is a precautionary step to protect the account.

If you believe this has happened in error, write to us from the ###Need Help### section of the app, or email service@gokiwi.in from your registered email address, and we will look into it.

We are only able to discuss an account with the person it is registered to, and we are not able to act on another person's account, including a family member's.

Please ask them to write to us from their own registered email address, or from the ###Need Help### section of their app.

Can Kiwi close the card for me?
