A score of 700 or above improves your chances.

The decision depends on more than your score, including your credit bureau record, employment, income and other details.

This means the bank is not currently issuing credit cards in your pincode, or in certain areas within it.

Serviceable areas change over time, so it is worth checking again later.

No. Credit cards issued through Kiwi are unsecured. You do not need to give any deposit or security.

Yes. You can link your savings account or another RuPay credit card and use Kiwi for UPI payments, subject to eligibility.

Applying for a credit card through Kiwi gives you higher rewards.

You get 3 attempts to enter your PAN correctly.

Applying for a card

Video KYC is a short video call where the bank confirms your identity. It is required by RBI for every new card.

Before you start, check that you have

Video KYC is available between 7:30 AM and 11:00 PM. Slots cannot be booked in advance, so try during quieter hours for a shorter wait.

If none of these work, write to us from the ###Need Help### section of the app and we can arrange for a KYC agent authorised by the bank to visit your registered address instead.

If your session drops because of a connection problem, a long wait or a device issue, you can start it again.

If Video KYC is completed but your details do not match your PAN, that outcome is final for that application. You would need to apply again with the correct details.

Yes. If Video KYC is not working for you, write to us from the ###Need Help### section of the app.

We can arrange for a KYC agent authorised by the bank to visit your registered address. Please keep your original PAN card ready for the visit.

There is no deadline, but the sooner you complete it, the sooner your card can be issued.

You do not have to complete it on the same day you apply.

No. You need to be physically in India, and your device location is checked to confirm this. This is a regulatory requirement.

Status updates can take a little time. If it has not changed within 24 hours, write to us from the ###Need Help### section of the app with your registered mobile number.

Yes. Video KYC follows RBI rules and takes place over a secure, encrypted connection.

Only verified agents authorised by the bank see your PAN card, and only to confirm your identity.

A password protected file does not need to be unlocked. You can upload it as it is.

Video KYC

Your current status is shown on the Kiwi app home screen.

Approval usually takes 7 to 10 working days after Video KYC is completed. It can take longer depending on the details of your application.

Once approved, your card appears in the Kiwi app, and you will get a message by WhatsApp and email.

Applications are assessed by the bank against a number of factors, including your age, credit bureau record, employment, income and other criteria.

Meeting one or more of these does not guarantee approval, as every application is assessed as a whole.

The specific reason recorded for your application is shown in the Kiwi app.

Yes. You can apply again 3 months after your last application.

If anything on your earlier application was entered incorrectly, please enter it correctly this time. A submitted application cannot be edited.

You can edit your details on the review screen, before you submit.

Once the application is submitted, the details cannot be changed, and Video KYC cannot be redone to correct them.

If your details do not match your PAN, you will need to apply again with the correct details.

PNB KIWI Card applicants are an exception and can correct this themselves. See the PNB section below.

This usually means the application was not submitted, or it was started on a different mobile number.

Please check you are logged in with the number you applied on. If it still does not appear, write to us from the ###Need Help### section of the app.

Application status and decisions

The PNB KIWI Card is a RuPay credit card issued by Punjab National Bank and managed through the Kiwi app.

You apply for it in the same way as any other card through Kiwi. The bank is assigned automatically based on your profile.

It works on UPI in the same way as our other partner cards, and it comes with a physical card as well as the virtual one in the app.

If the name or date of birth on your application does not match your PAN or Aadhaar records, you can correct it yourself on the bank's own page.

This works for your own name, a parent's name, and your date of birth.

If you cannot find your UARN, write to us from the ###Need Help### section of the app and we will find it for you.

In some cases the bank has asked existing cardholders to complete Video KYC after the card was issued.

If you are seeing this on a card you already use, it is a genuine request from the bank and not an error in the app.

Please complete it when you can, so that your card continues to work without interruption. If you hit a name or date of birth mismatch while doing so, see the article above.

You will be asked for an income document:

These are the only documents the bank requires for this application.

The file is usually saved in the Downloads folder on a computer, or in Downloads or My Files on a phone.

If you cannot find it, search your files for ###Intimation###, ###143(1)###, or the assessment year.
