What documents do I need?
Keep your original PAN card ready for every application. You will need it during Video KYC.
Depending on which bank your application goes to, you may also be asked for an income document:
- Income tax return (ITR): any type is accepted, including ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3 and ITR-4.
- Form 16: accepted for salaried applicants with an income below Rs 5,00,000. Above that, an ITR is required.
- Salary document, where it is asked for.
If you do not have the latest year, the previous year's document is accepted.
You do not need to unlock a password protected file. You can upload it as it is.
The app will tell you exactly what is needed. These are the only documents the bank requires.
